After two decades of working for others for a paycheck, I decided to follow the American dream. Quite frankly, it is less an American dream, than a ordinary dream of any person, which is to work for oneself.

I started STARS Partners in May 2016 because I believe there is a dearth of unbiased professional financial and investment advisers today. Most investment advisers are affiliated with one financial house or the other, and those that are independent are hard to find and it is even harder to find independent advisers who are worth the while. Generally speaking, most independent investment advisers are certainly not in a position to hand hold clients with limited means (< than $50,000 in assets under management).
